Liquid Catalyst - LC℠:


GAT’s Liquid Catalyst℠, “LC℠”, creates a temporary bond with the hydrocarbon that is so strong that the oil releases from any formation or media including water. The LC℠ bond makes the oil heavier than water so it drops below water. This bond stays strong and in place until a set point when minimal heat is applied. At that point the temporary bond is released, the LC℠ catalyst is recaptured for reuse, the hydrocarbon separated back to its original state, or salvaged and ready for processing, and any water is separated from LC℠ and the oil.

Emulsions or the mix of water and oil is a big problem in the oil industry. LC℠ technology stops emulsions by quickly separating the oil from the water. The LC℠ Separation Technology encapsulates the oil, separating it from the water while making the oil heavier so it can quickly be removed from the water. LC℠ can encapsulate even the small parts of oil left so the water is cleaned to ppm. The oil is recovered for processing, the is water cleaned and the LC℠ is recaptured for re-use. This oil/water LC℠ separation process is important in the recovery of oil from downhole. The production water which is a natural part of the payzone is usually re-injected into the same zones as the oil well. However, there are minute parts of oil in this water which is lost and can in some sand formation create pollution. The LC℠ Separation technology can capture the minute parts of oil in the production water and salvage it for processing and prevent pollution.

GAT’s water separation technology uses proprietary equipment and LC℠ to separate the oil from the water. Once encapsulated, the oil/LC℠ is easily removed or drained off leaving the water cleaned of oil. The oil/LC℠ is heavier than water and will not re -attached to any formation until the bond is broken. The oil is salvaged for processing, the LC℠ is recaptured for re-use and the water is cleaned of oil/hydrocarbons. Similar process as cleaning oil spills on water and tailing ponds.


Contaminated Soil Cleaning:
Cleaning contaminated soil is similar to the recovery of oil from oil sands. (See the Oil Sands page) The contaminated soil is placed into the LC℠ Wash system. Once LC℠ touches the contaminated soil; the oil and LC℠ create a temporary bond that releases oil from any formation including water. The oil is released from the specific formation such as soil or water. When the LC℠ is bonded with the oil, the oil is heavier than the water so the oil drops to the bottom of the tank. The water flows off the top and the oil/LC℠ is pumped from the bottom of the tank. The oil/LC℠ has the viscosity of diesel for easy flow until a set point where minimal heat is applied the temporary bond between the oil/LC℠ is released. The oil is ready for processing, the LC℠ is ready for re-use and the contaminated soils are clean to ppm levels of oil.


Cleaning tailing ponds:
The contaminated water is pumped into the proprietary LC℠ Separation System where the LC℠ is mixed with the polluted contaminated oil water. The LC℠ creates a temporary bond with any hydrocarbon so it immediately separates the oil from the water and other contaminants or formations. Since the LC℠ makes the hydrocarbon heavier than water the water is easily pumped off and free of oil. The oil &LC℠ is pumped off and at a set location, the LC℠ &oil is pumped into a LC℠ reclaiming tank. Minimal heat is applied to release the LC℠ from the oil. The oil is ready for processing, the LC℠ is ready for re use and the water is cleaned of any hydrocarbons.


OIL SPILLS

Water
The LC℠ is sprayed on the oil that is floating on the water. The LC℠ encapsulates the hydrocarbon creating a temporary bond that is so strong that it releases from any material including water. The Oil/LC℠ is heavier than water so the oil/LC℠ drops to the bottom of the water where it stays together. The oil/LC℠ is pumped to a tanker where it can be transferred to the land where the oil/LC℠ bond can be released or it can be released with minimal temperature increase on the tanker. The water is easily separated from the oil/LC℠ and the oil/LC℠ is heated a few degrees to release the oil/LC℠ bond. The LC℠ is recaptured to be used again and the oil is ready for processing and the water is free of hydrocarbons.

Another water oil spill process would be to skim the oil from the top of the water. The oil with some water is loaded onto a tanker, where the LC℠ is mixed with the oil/water. The LC℠ creates a temporary bond with the oil which is so strong the oil releases from any structure including water. The water is pumped off and the oil/LC℠ is pumped to another tank where minimal heat is applied to release the bond. The LC℠ is recaptured for re use and the oil is salvaged and ready for processing.

Land
Oil that reaches the shoreline would be scraped off and placed in the LC℠ Modular Wash System which is the same system for the recovery of oil from oil.(See Oil page)this system cleans the soil, salvages the oil, cleans any water and the

Oil spills on land would be treated like the recovery of oil from oil. The contaminated soil would be scraped and put into the LC℠ modular wash System.(See Oil page)where the contaminated soil would be basically washed separating the oil from the soils and salvaged for processing and the LC℠ would be recaptured for reuse in the system.

ENHANCED OIL RECOVERY


Oil Sands Extraction:
Oil is extracted from oil sands by using the proprietary LC℠ Wash System. Unlike the present costly “Steam Extraction” technology, the LC℠ Wash System is a modular unit that can be located near the mining operation and it does not require significant energy or water. LC℠ Wash System is a revolutionary new environmentally friendly oil extraction process. No air or water pollutions are created. The oil sands are cleaned to ppm, the oil is recovered for processing and the LC℠ is recaptured for re-use.


Down hole:
The LC℠ is put downhole in as a liquid followed by the normal water flooding. Once down hole the temperature changes the LC℠ to a vapor so it is able to reach into the pores and crevices of the rock formation. The LC℠ creates a temporary bond with the trapped oil which is stronger than the surface tension. The oil then releases and drops to the bottom of channel of the pay zone where it flows like diesel through the channel to the well casing and pumped out. LC℠ is formulated to the specific project needs including downhole oil field temperature. In this way we use the downhole heat to turn LC℠ to a vapor in the formation to capture the most stranded oil, drop the oil to the channel where LC℠ turns back to a vapor to capture more oil. Using the downhole heat for recycling as our LC℠ pulls the oil from the formation is the reason our LC℠ is cost effective vs. other chemical enhanced oil recovery methods. We set LC℠ for a minimal temperature change using downhole heat for using the vapor form LC℠ to break the oil/LC℠ bond. The released oil is moved through the formation using water in the formation until it reaches the production well and pumped to the surface ready for processing. The LC℠ recycling downhole is why our LC℠ enhanced oil recovery is economically feasible due to recycling hundreds of times between the “injection well” until it reaches the “production well” which may be a mile or more apart. Once pumped to the surface with the oil LC℠ is reclaimed ready to be re-used at the next field.

As much as possible we use standard industry equipment adapted as necessary to our proprietary technologies. REFINING AND DESULFURIZATION

GAT’s partner discovered a new molecular science that through years and over $5 million of dollars in Research and Development desulfurizes oil without high heat or pressure. GAT can also offer the newest most innovative modular refineries. These modular refineries can produce products that complex refineries can produce at a fraction of the cost.


LOGISTIC
GAT offers numerous benefits for shipping due to its affiliated company for logistics and freight forwarding. Because GAT’s partners own warehousing within the foreign trade zone at the Savanna Industrial Park there is ample storage if needed and staging for shipping globally. GAT’s partner specializes in logistics, global shipping and foreign trade zone benefits.
